Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have-seen Him go into heaven.
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with
Him in glory.
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself.
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.
-I John 3:2
Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.
Ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Then cometh the end, when He shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power . For He must reign, till He hath put all
enemies under His feet.
-I Corinthians 15:24-25
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
And then shall He send His angels, and shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
When Christ physically returns to the earth, time will end (Matthew 24:3). The resurrection of all the dead shall take place (John 5:28-39). Those that are living upon the earth shall be changed in a moment from mortal to immortal beings (I Corinthians 15:51-54). Christ will publicly judge the righteous and the wicked (Matthew 25:31-34). The righteous shall be glorified with Him (I Thessalonians 4: 16-17). The wicked shall be cast away into hell forever (Matthew 25:41). The righteous shall live with God in the new heaven and earth forever (Matthew 25:34).
When the Jehovah's Witnesses claim that Jesus has returned to earth already, that He is here in spirit, why is this distorting the Bible's teaching regarding Christ's second advent?
