  • Initial - First; beginning

And God saw every thing that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

  • Theory - A possible explanation; that which provides a framework for further experimentation and thought, but is not proven
  • Evolution - A belief that all life developed from non-living and simpler forms to more complex on its own, without God
  • Origin - Beginning; forming; creating
  • Solar system - Our sun with the planets and other bodies that revolve around it

  • Who is the evolutionist's "god"? What is his "bible"? What rich securities and purposes of life are missed by evolutionists?

  • Assumptions - Things we suppose or take for granted to be true without careful examination or proof
  • In six days God completed His initial creating work. All things included in His perfect plan were created. God rested on the seventh day. Having completed His special creation work, God rested, viewing His complete creation with delight - for all was perfect and without sin.

    The Theory of Evolution

Some people deny the truth of God's creation, and some even deny the existence of God altogether. These people believe that the universe, earth, and life gradually developed according to explanations given in the theory of evolution.

In our present society, there are two main beliefs regarding the origin of all things:

    1. Biblical Creationism - Biblical creationists believe that God created the universe and everything in it through miraculous acts of His divine power as described in Genesis I and 2.

    2. Evolutionism - Evolutionists believe that matter always existed or increased, and that either through a great explosion or some other process, our solar system was formed. Life on earth formed by chance from non-living substances and over billions of years, developed on its own from simpler to more complex forms. Evolutionists believe that this process is still taking place today.

Neither of these beliefs can be proven scientifically. Science is the observation and study of the physical universe and its properties. The origin of the universe was not witnessed by any human. No scientific experiment can create a universe for observation and testing to see how it may have originated. However, scientists can observe facts, properties, and laws of the present universe, and from these observations give suggestions, ideas, or theories, but not proofs of the beginning of all things. All scientific inquiries into the origins of things are greatly influenced by the person's own viewpoints, assumptions, and limited observations.

The following story illustrates how all human investigations are influenced by the persons' own assumptions and experiences.
